Grand Café Orient
I thought that the winter is officially over. Obviously it's not. Especially here in Prague :) Snow is literally everywhere. So I've decided to pretend that I haven't noticed it, and what more, to pretend that sun is crazily shining (although it's not). And this of course requires me to wear sunglasses. I've noticed few surprised glances and expressions on other people's faces with clear message "Are you insane???" I have to confess I couldn't care less :)
On Thursday (with my sunglasses on) I visited Grand Café Orient for the first time with Dannie and our friend J (I won't mention his full name, I guess he likes his own privacy). This café is located at House of the Black Madonna in the centre of Prague and as they mention on their official website "This building symbolizes the unique Czech contribution to the cubist movement not only in architecture but in furniture, pottery and glass." I have to admit it was quite a spectacular experience coz not only furniture, pottery and glass, but even cakes have typically geometric cubistic shapes. Classy ;)

Myslel jsem, že zima už je pryč. Jak vidno, není. Především tady v Praze :) Sníh je doslova všude. Rozhodl jsem se dělat, že jsem si toho nevšimnul a co víc víc, předstírat, že šíleně svítí sluníčko (ikdyž to není pravda). A to samozřejmě znamená, že musím nasadit sluneční brýle. Zaregistroval jsem pár pohledů a výrazů s jasným sdělením: "Zbláznil ses???" Upřímně, je mi to jedno :)
Ve čtvrtek jsem se poprvé dostal do Grand Café Orient. Šli jsme společně s Dannie a J. (nebudu zmiňovat jeho jméno, myslim, že má rád svoje soukromí). Tahle kavárna se nachází v domu U Černé Matky Boží v centru Prahy a jak zmiňují na jejich oficiálních stránkách "Kubismus v architektuře a užitém umění je ryze český fenomén. A právě Dům U Černé Matky Boží patří k jeho nejslavnějším a nejdůležitějším představitelům." Musím říct, že to byl hezký zážitek. Kromě nábytku ,hrnků a skla mají typicky geometrikcý a kubistický tvar i sladkosti. Classy ;)
